One year ago, the European Parliament adopted Resolution 2020/2580(RSP) on additional funding for biomedical research on Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS).
In honor of this anniversary, Renew Europe, Spanish MEP Jordi Cañas and patient organization CONFESQ are hosting a webinar on June 30, 17:00-18:45 CEST, titled: “Challenges and Opportunities for ME/CFS research in Europe”.
The webinar will be open to the public. You can register by sending an email to the assistant of MEP Cañas.
There will be an opportunity to ask questions via chat during the webinar.
The program can be found here.
Among others, MEPs Dolors Montserrat and Alex Agius Saliba will attend the meeting. Dr. Eliana Lacerda of the CureME team at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine will speak on behalf of EUROMENE. Catherine Berens of the Directorate-General for Research and Innovation (DG RTD) will represent the European Commission.
One of our members will speak on behalf of EMEC and a video message from Evelien Van Den Brink will be shown during the event.
A recording of the webinar is available on YouTube in Spanish and English.
We warmly thank MEP Cañas and CONFESQ for organizing this important event.
